Well, our summer is off and running. The boys got out of school last Wednesday, and I feel like we have pretty much been going since then. There are lots of things I want and plan to do. But for sure we have a standing appointment with my sister for Thursday Swim Day.
They live in a neighborhood that has two community pools. There is a pool that is more of an adult pool that is about 4-5 feet deep than a kids splash pool in a different location that is about 1 ½ feet deep. The kids have fun in both pools, and Christy’s house is about half way between both.
We went over last Thursday (Mav’s 8th birthday) and had a lot of fun. Michael got a sunburn, Mav started work on his tan, and Major didn’t get in the water. We went back over today and stayed at the splash pool for about an hour and a half. This time I was able to get a little sun. Major played real well under the shade tents on his towels with his toys. The boys swam for a while. The water was much too cold, I thought, probably because of the big rain we had earlier in the week.
Anyway, we are all looking forward to our Thursday Swim Day’s in Allen this summer!
